Beef Week At Richmond Valley
The Beef week commences from May 26 and runs until June 2. It is a
prestigious occasion for the people of New South Wales as this festival
attracts an abundant of tourists from all parts of the globe to
Australia.
The Beef week started in the year 1982 as an annual festival and since
then it has become a signature event. It all started when Michael Zann
came for the promotion of the town, a business consultant and
ex-resident of Casino. He suggested making beef the prime highlight of
the festival, as it generates so much revenue for the town.
The festivities
The beef week attracts more than 20000 thousand people on Saturday which
is the main Festive day for the town. The festival inculcates colour,
joy and life to the atmosphere and the vibrancy continues until the next
festival.
On the appointed day, there is competition, performances, shows,
auctions, workshops and many more items to be displayed which would fill
your senses with utmost pleasure.
The streets are blocked with entertainment stages, packed with food
stalls, whip cracking, road performers, junior stockman and creative art
demonstrations and more.
The majestic march past of the multicoloured brands, holds a dignified
role in the festival and it happens in the afternoon when the crowd
diffuses to the nearby showground or at the pubs and clubs to enjoy live
music and companionship.
One of the prime attractions of the festival is the event of the women,
which is Miss Casino Beef Week where the youthful women, sponsored by
the different beef breeder associations stands for the town and the
festival.
The local shops are decorated, the owners as well as the staff also
dresses as per the theme of the festival. The grand Masquerade Ball, the
specialized breakfast on the main Saturday pulls maximum crowd to the
carnival.
 The type of brands who takes part in the parade are Wrangler, Billabong,
Black Pepper, Wish, Martini, City Club, Puma, Adidas, Nike, Quicksilver,
Roxy, R.M Williams, Kaboosh and plenty more.
The venue of the carnival is the casino RSM Club. The Drinking lounge
offers canapés and champagne and it is included in the ticket. The
parade sets in at 7.30 pm and the drinks are available from 6 pm to 7
pm.

Added Attractions
Young children aged 11 to 16 years can register themselves to avail free
Circus Workshops, which includes skill training for performances, and
get a chance to be a part of the Beef week and the parade. The workshops
happen before the festival starts. If you want to register yourself,

The tickets are available at the Casino RSM club and priced at $12 for
seats, $15 for tables and $25 for cocktail lounge.
