Jo Jo Smith back in town
When I first arrived in Byron, Jo Jo Smith was one of the first names I heard. When talking about the local music scene, it was recommended that I catch the lead singer of Hip Pocket, a certain Jo Jo Smith who had the kind of honey-toned vocal that made you melt. Sadly for us, Jo Jo left almost a decade ago, but her heart is still here in the North Coast, with occasional trips back to play gigs for her existing and new fans. Jo Jo is coming back to launch her latest album Jo Jo Smith Live @ The Blue Birdy.
